Security Instrument Corporation designed and implemented a highly integrated security system for AstraZeneca. The System is built upon the technology from industry leading manufacturers and operates seamlessly from a single user console relying on cutting edge integration protocols. The system is comprised of over 600 Access Control Doors, 200 CCTV Cameras – recorded in high quality on redundant disk arrays – and 140 Intercom Stations.

As an entity tasked with the future of Fusion energy in the United States, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory’s needed to assess what would it take to continue its
long-standing commitment to secure the National Energy Commission’s interests and bring Nuclear power into the next century.
The Challenge
With the digital age and technological advances happening at an exponential rate, PPPL turned to Security Instrument Corporation to develop a security umbrella
capable of not only securing their site, but assure that as times change and security needs evolve, PPPL’s systems could expand with them.
The Solution
With an emphasis not only on detection but also record keeping, it became clear that an integrated system was needed that was capable of recording all alarm and access events though a new state of the art system but also the ability to integrate seamlessly with existing equipment. By implementing an “open source” front end capable of being configured to communicate with both existing data/alarm systems as well as integration with a digital video recording and control system, their goals were met.
The ability to process all information at one location helped speed response and streamline operations for security personnel.
